Swim Meet Dates
The Oak Creek Village Cudas
The OCV Cudas Swim Team invites your family to join us next season! In this family-friendly organization, children (ages 4-18) develop swimming skills, build friendships, and learn about team spirit, healhty competition and volunteerism. Meanwhile, their parents are also meeing their neighbors and building strong friendships. Our swim team was established in 1972 and is one of the oldest teams in the North West Aquatics League. We have been divisional champions several times. Although we are proud of our excellent swimmers, we are also excited to offer a Learn to Swim program. We invite all children ages 4-18 to be a Cuda - regardless of their swimming ability level, Registration starts in early April and we swim during May and June. During our 8 week season, we offer practices 4 days each week and have competition meets on Saturdays. (You do not have to attend every practice or every meet to be a part of the team.) Watch our website (www.ocvcudas.com) for registration information starting in early April. We hope to see ya' on deck next summer!
OCV Garden Club 2019 - 2020
Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday each month – August thru May Programs are varied. Some are in homes others are at the clubhouse. Several bus trips a year are taken using transportation furnished by Harris county Precint#4

Annual Events in Oak Creek Village
October:
National Night Out - America's Night Out Against Crime! National Night Out” (NNO), a crime and drug prevention event sponsored by National Association of Town Watch (NATW), From 7 to 10 PM on the designated night in October, residents in neighborhoods throughout Houston and across Texas are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors. Along with the traditional display of outdoor lights and front porch vigils, cities, towns and neighborhoods celebrate NNO with a variety of events and activities such as:
· Block parties
· Cookouts
· Flashlight walks
Let’s show the world our neighborhood spirit and have some fun! Get together with your neighbors and come outside. Submit your pictures to be posted on the Oak Creek Village web site and in our Newsletter!
Fall Festival
Join the fun at the park and get to know your neighbors. A connected neighborhood is a fun and safe neighborhood! We'll have pumpkin painting, bounce houses, hot dogs, popcorn and snow cones. Be sure to wear your costume!! Event held annually the weekend before Halloween.
December:
Breakfast with Santa. Our Santa tours the neighborhood on the fire engine tossing treats! Come out and say hello! After Santa has enjoyed a nice hot breakfast, he'll be hearing what the good little boys and girls would like him to bring for them on Christmas morning. Bring your camera and join Santa for breakfast! Watch your newsletter for the date.
July:
Independence Day Bike Parade - Decorate your bikes, trikes and wagons and join the parade! Our local fire station leads our annual parade through the neighborhood starting at the park. The parade ends at our park where we enjoy hot dogs, snow cones and cooling off in the pool. See you there!
